Our signature 14 inch BOD Drum brings together a 100mm deep solid spun aluminium shell with a synthetic drum head set in a six point tuning mechanism. The drum is finished in a matte black powder coat to full automotive standard, tough and reliable. We love the centre spot edge control head, pictured here, which can give you an especially wide range of tones from deep, soft and mellow, to bright and crisp, full of attack and varied expression. Best of all, you can play in any weather or performance conditions, and your drum will keep its tune.

Included in your kit is a BOD Beater,  made by Stevie Moises exclusively for Blackwell Original Drums. We worked with Stevie to develop a hot rod style beater that would really play up the unique sound range of our drums.  Made with an 8mm centre rod of ebony surrounded by 9 walnut rods of 4mm each, with an adjustable O-ring, this rod has a lovely deep click that adds depth to your performance.

Drum and beater will be packed inside a Protection Racket case, which offers great thickly padded protection in a light weight case, easily carried in your hand, on your back or over your shoulder.  We know some musicians who pack their drum together with everything they need for a weekend gig in this case, and take it as carry-on if they need to fly.  Perfect.
