As of today, US customers will see a change in the charges at check out.
Small and medium packages to the USA – basically, any order that does NOT include a drum or drum case – will now pre-pay the 10% tariff and a handling fee as part of the check out process.
Full details:
Royal Mail has recently begun charging shippers the 10% tariff directly, together with a £1.50 handling fee, to cover their expenses in documenting and paying over monies to US Customs. It is now mandatory for us to pay this up front together with the postage expense, so we need to collect this from our customers. When you check out, you will see the tariff charge and £1.50 handling fee itemised in the checkout totals.

As a result of the pre-paid tariff, your package should clear customs a little more easily. Bear in mind that any other taxes, duties or customs charges may also apply and payment for those will be your responsibility. If you have any questions about what charges your package will incur, please consult your local authorities.
We ship drums and drum cases to the USA via UPS (United Parcel Service). Their policy is to handle the tariff payment, together with any other taxes, duties or customs charges, at their end, and they will contact you prior to delivery about settling those charges.
For the UK and the rest of the world, nothing changes – outside the UK all taxes, duties, tariffs or customs charges are the responsibility of the recipient, and there will be no change to your check out process.
