13 August – The BOD online shop is now closed for the next three weeks or so as we go on the road for three great festivals, back to back.  During this time, if you need something and can’t visit us at a festival, drop us a line through the Contact Form, and we’ll try to help.

Folk East 16 – 18 August 2024 on the beautiful grounds of Glemham Hall in Suffolk. Wonderfully family friendly, with lots of children’s activities, several unique venues to suit the many different musical acts on show, a great array of craft vendors and of course we love the Music Village.

Note that Evan Carson will be giving a workshop – he’s a fantastic musician and uses both BOD and Hedwitschak drums in performance. Find details on site when you arrive.

If you’re not familiar, Folk East is known for the Music Village – a special set of marquees grouped together for all of us selling a wide range of musical instruments. There’s a great space in the middle for a session for a few hours each day, otherwise, just a good place to sit and try out your new drum! We will be there as vendors, of course.

Towersey Festival 23 – 26 August 2024 at the Claydon Estate in Buckingham is celebrating their 60th and sadly their final year this summer. Another very family oriented festival with lots of activities, theatre and shows, comedy and dance besides the terrific musical line up.

BOD will be there as vendors, with our full range of drums, beaters and accessories.  John will be offering bodhrán workshops at The Bar Stage, Friday at 15:00, Saturday 10:00 AM and Sunday 10:00 AM.  Bring your own drum if you can, we have a limited number of demo and loaner drums.

Music Worldwide Summer Camp 29 Aug – 1 Sept at Hulver Farm in Bungay, Suffolk.  We find it hard to think of this as anything other than “Drum Camp” as it used to be known. This is a unique and fabulous festival if you love drumming. It’s an immersive weekend of drumming and dance workshops and communal music making which spans traditions and continents with musicians and dancers from lots of different West African, Latin American, Middle Eastern traditions and more. If you want to learn about and try your own hand at world drumming traditions, this is the festival for you, with workshops all day, every day, for every level of performer.

And of course, BOD will be there too, with our marquee full of drums, beaters and accessories.  John will also be running daily bodhrán workshops in Venue #3, at 14:15.  Come join the fun!  Bring your own drum if you can, we have a limited number of demo and loaner drums.
