John is already at the Claydon Estate near Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire for the Towersey Festival, which opens tomorrow, Friday 25 August and runs all the way through the end of the bank holiday Monday. We have a big green marquee in the Traders Market, and John has the full range of all our drums, beaters and accessories for sale. And we have some very special Festival Only deals on our fabulous airbrushed Uniques, Ribbons and Carbon Fibre and a couple ex-demo drums.
“Any stream but mainstream” is how we describe our eclectic mix of music and arts. With our roots well and truly in Folk and Acoustic music, our programme these days is a real mix of music that we just know you’ll love!
And it’s so much more than music! Towersey is one of the best festivals in the UK for Ceilidh (think of wild version of a barn dance!) and the most inclusive festival you will ever experience. A place where learning and sharing is everywhere you look.
For those who want to learn or improve their bodhrán playing, John will be running a Workshop Sunday morning at 10:00 in the Bar Stage. Bring your own drum if you can, though there will be a limited number of loaners available.
One other note: whilst John is at the festivals, the on-line shop is closed, as the majority of our stock is with him. The shop will re-open 6 September.
