Description
Made of makassar, one of the hardest and heaviest woods available, the N-EF 1 gives an even clicking sound, no matter how you hold it. It reacts quickly and you can control the click to create a clear but quiet sound or quite a powerful and assertive presence, always with a nice bass-y note. The secret is in the design: the ball-like split circular head has a hollow centre, so only the flanks are clicking. The flanks of the clicker curve slightly inward to prevent them becoming uneven, and the edges are smoothed so as not to damage your drum head.
Intentionally designed with only one clicking end, the rubber O-ring pictured is used strictly for shipping and storage purposes. Don’t try to use the rubber ring for adjusting the click intensity as with hotrod tippers, as that would only limit the balance and dynamic qualities of the stick.
Suitable for both double-ended and single-end playing styles, the N-EF 1 has a rubber grip to stabilise the tipper in your hand, and to prevent any breakaway of the flanks. Diameter 15 mm ends, 10 mm mid stick, length 22.5 cm, weight approx. 20 grams.
