The SNARE CarpHED is a special effect gadget used on your skin hand to produce a snare drum like rattling or crackling sound as you play. Velcro straps hold the device securely on your hand so a bar of crinkled wires with rubber covered tips can rest against the inside skin of the bodhrán, without interfering with your ability to modulate pitch with the skin hand. Depending on the playing technique as well as pressure, position and strike point, you can achieve a continuous snare drum effect, or just use the snare effect intermittently to punctuate complex rhythms.
The SNARE carpHED can either be attached to two fingers or to the thumb, depending on your preference.
The flexible velcro straps have a soft interior finish for comfort, can be easily and quickly adjusted to any hand size, and can be attached to two fingers or to the thumb.
The SNARE carpHED is a joint development by Stevie Moises, Rolf Wagels and Christian Hedwitschak, and is made in Germany.
