One-of-a-kind 14 inch BODdrum with unique hand-painted custom airbrush finish. This “Carbon Fibre” design has been signed and numbered by the artist, Hurricane Airbrush Art. The detail, depth of colour and lustre of the painting are simply gorgeous, and like all our drums, the finish is a full automotive standard, tough and durable.

Combining a synthetic drum head with a solid spun aluminium shell has given the classic bodhrán a whole new vocabulary of tones from deep, soft and mellow, to bright and crisp, full of attack and varied expression. The BODdrum will take you well beyond traditional folk music into Jazz, Classical and World rythms as well as fusions beyond any defined musical boundary – anywhere your imagination can take you.

The 14 inch drum size refers to the diameter of the standard drum head with the actual drum diameter being a little more than this. The drum depth is a standard 100 mm. All BODdrums have a six point tuning mechanism and come with a tuning wrench.

The edge control centre spot head featured here is a snare head, made of frosted pale grey single ply 14 mil film with an added 3 mil centre spot on the reverse. This enhances durability but also adds focus and attack to the centre of the skin. Evans’ Edge Control technology removes troublesome mid-range overtones that can muddy the sound.

This drum is a fabulous example of a  BODdrum customised with airbrush artwork.

We can do just about anything for a finish:  custom paint colours from the RAL colour palette, airbrush, anodise, etch, plate or polish, you can choose. Custom finishes will cost more but your drum will be truly unique, both in sound and appearance. Learn more about custom finishes here.

It is worth noting that the BODdrum is a metal drum with a synthetic head – no animal products were used in any of the components.
