BOD is Back – On Line Shop Re-opened

Thank you to everyone who visited us at Folk East – we had a grand time meeting and chatting with everyone, getting some people started on the bodhrán, playing with the Morris sides, taking part in the odd session or two and soaking up the fantastic music and weather.

We also had a great weekend in terms of sales.  Our on-line shop is open again, but not as fully stocked as we could wish.  We have a big re-stock order out to Christian Hedwitschak for more of his wonderful CoreLine bodhráns, which were a big hit (so to speak!) over the weekend, even appearing on stage within hours of purchase. Tippers were also a popular festival purchase, and we have an order out to Stevie Moises to restock those too.  We hope to have the restock by the end of September, but it depends on production times – the drums and the tippers are all hand crafted – and of course shipping and Customs.

If there is a particular product you want and don’t see in stock, please drop us a line through the Contact page, so we can be sure to have you covered.  And don’t forget, as the sole authorised UK stockist for both Christian and Stevie, if you want a special order of any of their products that we don’t currently carry, or a custom order, get in touch with us – we can make that happen.  Finally, because of the lead times for production and shipping – it is not too soon to think about ordering your Christmas gifts.

In other news, we visited our spinners earlier this week and brought back a new batch of 18 inch BODdrum shells.  The next step will be to have them painted, then we can assemble them and get them into the shop in the not too distant future.  Evan Carson gave us some great feedback on the design of the 18 Inch drums, after testing them thoroughly through the sound system at Folk East before his own gigs, and we are looking at some tweaks and fine tuning on the design, more on that in the future.

Morning after the festival before!
